WANNA MAKE A BET by Stacy Dawn

Available NOW...

Wanna make a bet?
When aspiring artist and purposefully single Sophie Montgomery mutters those four fateful words, her sexy neighbor, Jay Coltrane, pounces on the opportunity to prove she’s not as immune to him as she thinks. Before she knows it, Sophie finds herself not only betting against a seduction, she’s betting against her own ability to keep her dreams intact and a certain luscious landscaper out of them.

What people are already saying:

“Lay down your money and let the dice roll, because Wanna Make a Bet is a sure thing. From a drool-worthy hero to an adorable bulldog with a thing for monkeys, this book will hook you in with its depth of characters, humor, and sizzling sensuality. I cancelled dinners and was late for appointments, all because I had to know whether it would be Jay or Sophie who won the bet. Stacy Dawn is a talent and I can’t wait for her next novel!”

And the Beat Goes On...

Last week I posted about how Alison Kent was supporting the Coming Together for The Cure anthology. Now...Jessica D. Russell has picked up the torch. AK is nearing her maximum, so JR pledged another 10 books for 100 comments! What a great way to show support for Cancer Research, and show how supportive the writing community can be of one another!
...and there is more ::
For each author-blogger who hosts such a contest, Alessia Brio is inviting them to include one of their recipes in Coming Together: In the Kitchen — which will benefit Action Against Hunger. Release planned for 2008.
Tilly Greene accepted the challenge as well, pledging 10 books for 100 comments! Plus, she's donating a copy of her December ebook OohRah! to one of the commenters.
This just keeps getting better and better!

Thursday 13 :: Unsolicited Advice

Everyone loves to tell me what to do...and so...I thought, hey, let's see if Google knows any better than the rest of the general hoo-hahs...

Thirteen Things Jenna Needs to do...

  1. Jenna Needs To Stop. Probaby should stop playing with Google. Yes, I know. Thanks.

  2. Jenna needs to get a stairmaster pronto!!!! How RUDE!!!!!

  3. Jenna needs to do some serious soul-searching. Yes...I think it is at the bottom of a tub of movie theater popcorn...

  4. Jenna needs to like herself again. Again? I like myself fine...it's the hoo-hahs that have issues.

  5. Jenna needs to eat a taco. OK

  6. Jenna needs to stay out of the sun. Oh...I see...Google is affiliated with Sunset Tan...

  7. Jenna needs to find out how much notice we need to give our landlord before moving out. I am NOT moving.

  8. Jenna needs to wrap herself in bubblewrap. Kinky!

  9. Jenna needs to realize that she is now the co-mayor of skank town along side of Trishelle. Hey there...it's just bubblewrap!

  10. Jenna needs to go read and understand the three laws of thermodynamics before making stupid-ass comments like that. WOW. Google did well on the SATs.

  11. Jenna needs to sort out what happened and deal with this new reality. Oh, and I was just getting used to the old reality.

  12. Jenna needs to make the decision based on whether the odds are acceptable to her, not whether they're acceptable to me. See... this is exactly how advice gets when it goes on too long...convoluted.

  13. Jenna needs to regroup herself and figure out what is the best next step for her... remember she's more of the model than a beauty queen!

Now you do it...come on....take a minute from your TT rounds and GoogleHack for some unsolicted advice...it's got to be better than mine...unless you too share a name with a porn star!

Coming Together for the Cure

I thought Coming Together for the Cure, an erotica collection edited by Alessia Brio, was a wonderful project. All proceeds are donated to breast cancer research, the stories are wonderful, the authors all believe in the cause...fantastic, no? And then today I noticed Alison Kent decided to get behind the anthology.

Cancer touches everyone, but hats off to AK who decided to put her support, both promotionally and financially, behind the collection. For every ten comments on her blog, she's buying (and giving away) a copy of Coming Together...up to 25 copies! So...comment up, people! And pick up your own copy of Coming Together!

Portia's Promos...

SUITE SEVENTEEN - Portia Da Costa

Acting purely on instinct, I coil my arms around him. I can't believe this is happening and I can't believe what I'm doing. This new, different, impatient me takes the initiative and presses her tongue against his lips, demanding entrance.

He laughs, the sound deep and rough in his chest, and he admits me. Then a second later, it's like he throws a switch and he takes total control.

When vibrant, forty-something widow Annie Conroy espies her new neighbours Maria Lewis and Robert Stone having kinky sex in their back garden, she decides it’s time that she too woke up and smelt the erotic roses. And where better to begin her daring adventures than the luxurious Waverley Grange Country Hotel, and its hidden den of iniquity, the chintz-clad but wickedly pervy Suite Seventeen?

Under the stern but playful eye of exotic master Valentino, Annie quickly discovers the shocking hidden depths of her own sensuality, and surrenders herself body and soul to his outrageous games of power. But when the Waverley’s entire future hangs in the balance, and Annie has the means to help save it, dare she gamble on going one step further… and giving her heart to the mysterious man who’s come to control her?

"...this deliciously seductive story... is hard to put down" ~ Romantic Times, Four and a Half Stars, Sept 07

'Suite Seventeen contains all Portia's trademark treats from the arousing narrative, a wicked blend of deviant episodes, and an undercurrent of pragmatic and poignant romance.' ~ Ashley Lister, Erotica Readers and Writers Association

'I am grinning from ear to ear having savoured every last dripping word...' ~ Ann, poet and blogger

'a cheeky and very lovely read' ~ Madelynne Ellis, bestselling author of A Gentleman's Wager

WILD IN THE COUNTRY - Portia Da Costa

Published by TOTAL-E-BOUND - a contemporary super length novel

Available from 6th August 2007

Blurb

There's something in the air...

Flora Swain is a newcomer to the village of Marwick Magna, renowned for the inspiration it provides to painters and poets. Impetuous and strong-minded, Flora is no artist – yet. But there are creative urges within her, she is convinced, and she has come to the country to give them life.

The strange thing is that Flora’s urges turn out to be almost entirely sensual. Is it the undoubted physical allure of her new neighbour, Declan McKenna, that’s driving her wild? Or the explicitly sexual messages which appear daily in her post? Or could it be that country life has revealed to her an insatiable, highly erotic new self?

Like nothing you've ever imagined...Dayna Hart

“Go Between” by Dayna Hart

Between two races that hate each other, at the doorway between two worlds, can Claire find the strength to be the emissary they all need?

Book One of The Curtain Torn series.

Halfway through her twenties, her divorce, and a bottle of rye, Claire opens her birthday present—a “pressed fairy” book.

One of the fairies is neither pressed, nor a picture. He’s the sinfully sexy Dell, who’s been trapped inside the book for twenty years. The moment Claire frees him, goblins attack her house. Dell and Claire’s only option is to use a “Between”—a rift between their worlds—to escape into the land of Fae.

There, Claire discovers the elven queen, Eliane, has a mission for her—one that has her keeping secrets from Dell. And ousting the goblins from her home is only the start.

Thursday 13

I'm totally stealing this idea from Robin. Why not? I check Google constantly in the hopes that someone...anyone...has had time to review On Again. I think all the reviewers are on vacation!

Thirteen Things Jenna feels
  1. Jenna feels torn about her future
  2. Jenna feels terrific about her new hairdo
  3. Jenna feels a whole swarm of old memories bubble up inside her. (uh-oh...get the Pepto)
  4. Jenna feels that her adventurous artistic sensibility is a reflection of the diverse ethnic, cultural, and creative atmosphere in which she grew up.
  5. Jenna feels the passage of wind in front of her face (who was I standing behind! How rude!)
  6. Jenna feels smart, successful, and sexy
  7. Jenna feels compelled to obey the strange voice, to desert her fellows in order to go on a long quest (who told Google about my soft serve ice cream obsession? Hmmm? Who?)
  8. Jenna feels the time for romance has almost past her by. (No. Hubba Bubba is not getting off that easy. Sorry dude. Bring on the flowers.)
  9. Jenna feels confident that she is well prepared for whatever life. may bring to her.
  10. Jenna feels ready for anything
  11. Jenna feels people blame editing as an excuse for bad behavior.
  12. Jenna feels the need for auto-erotic manipulation (see...having the same name as the internets most famous porn star can get you into a bit of trouble)
  13. Jenna feels horrid to say this but she is literally falling asleep on her keyboard

Who's planning on going? Since I won't have to fly...and my Urban Phaze releases that month and is set in Portland...I am quite excited to go! Who else plans to be there?
